
Pregnancy & Parenting Support
Catholic Charities provides educational and support groups held for pregnant and/or parenting teens and adults. The groups are held at no cost to participants in Utica, Rome, and Oneida.
The program offers emotional, psychological and social support to individuals, couples and families experiencing a crisis pregnancy. Additional services include adoption planning and grief support.
Individual Casework
Caseworkers work individually with pregnant or parenting adolescents to provide linkages to other service providers to ensure access to needed services. The Caseworker meets with the clients in their homes or at the office for assessment of needs, referrals as appropriate and follow-up.
Supportive Counseling and Instruction
Teens and parents get help with a variety if issues including self-esteem, goal planning, relationships, child development, discipline and nutrition. Diapers, formula, and baby clothing are available on an as needed basis
The staff of CFD provides an array of support services to persons of all backgrounds, including pregnant and parenting teens, their families and others who need assistance with pregnancy, parenting or adoption concerns, without regard to their religion, gender, ethnicity, race, or financial status.
