About Camp Nazareth
Residential camping for boys and girls in the foothills of the Adirondacks since 1953. Located in Woodgate, NY, Camp Nazareth is built on 300+ acres of forest and lakefront in the Adirondack Park. Summers at Camp Nazareth last forever where boys and girls, ages 9-15, experience traditional camping activities and develop long lasting friendships and memories. Our summer camp is open for 3 one-week sessions beginning in July. Registration is limited to 150 campers each week. Openings are limited and fill up quickly. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your child can attend our wonderful, historic summer camp.
We invite you to Make Our Camp, Your Camp! Camp Nazareth is available from May through November, and has been used by organizations for events such as: football camp, high school band camp, boy scout outings, high school/college weekend encounters, marriage encounters, retreats, etc. For more information on how to arrange your event or camping getaway, contact our staff today!

The Camp Facility
Camp Nazareth can accommodate a group, up to a maximum of 150. The lodging and facilities are first rate, yet the fees are very affordable. A clean environment for your camping enjoyment. A full bath house is available for your use while staying at Camp Nazareth. Six cabins provide adequate space and comfort for your group during your stay. The Mess Hall is equipped with a modern kitchen to provide you with a pleasant dining experience. There is also ample space to conduct meetings for your group. Although Camp Nazareth is part of the Syracuse Diocese, arrangements will gladly be made to accommodate groups of other faith traditions. Your camp format and programs will depend on the individual development provided by your committee and personnel.

Directions
From I-90, take the Utica Exit 31. Proceed on Rte. 12 North for 15 miles to Rte. 28 North. Proceed on Rte. 28 North for 9 miles to Woodgate, NY. Approximately 1 mile past the flashing yellow light at Woodgate, bear left on to Round Lake Road and follow the signs to Camp Nazareth. View Map to Camp Nazareth.

Financial Assistance
Camp Nazareth strives to help every child attend camp regardless of financial means. From Operation Sunshine to church, private and corporate donations, our community has stepped forward to help our area children experience traditional summer camping and develop long lasting friendships and memories.
If you would like your campership to be considered for financial assistance, please print the following Financial Aid Form and return it with any required financial documentation, all required registration forms and a $75.00 deposit.
Camping Activities - What to do at Camp Naz
Adirondack Wilderness Experience - AWE
From puddle jumping to stream-hiking, campers learn an excitement for the outdoors. Campers are exposed to many different elements of nature in our 300+ acres of Adirondack forest, where they learn wilderness safety and environmental appreciation.
Arts & Crafts
Campers explore their artistic talents while working on stimulating and creative projects. Various crafts, drawing and painting are all part of this exciting program. Boondoggle and popsicle sticks remain traditional favorites!
Sports
Our large recreation fields offer campers lots of space to enjoy soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, tag games and many more activities. Campers participate in traditional team competitions along with recreational sports and non-competitive activities.
Swimming
Our American Red Cross certified waterfront staff provide swim instruction to beginners as well as advanced swimmers. Red Cross skills are taught along with water safety through instruction and water sports. Recreation swim takes place under careful supervision.
Boating
With hands-on instruction, campers learn the different techniques used in canoeing. Our certified staff involve campers with the progression of their ability and technique. Campers will enjoy the beauty of Little Long Lake, along with the gratifying experience in learning how to properly paddle, tip, flip and swamp a canoe.
Ropes Course
Challenging, rewarding, demanding and fun! Both high and low elements are designed to help campers enhance self-confidence, team-building and decision making skills. The certified course is set in our natural environment to help foster the experience. Our certified staff encourage personal growth while maintaining our focus on safety. Campers must be 11 years or older to participate in high elements.
Archery
Campers learn to recognize the different parts of a bow & arrow and develop aiming and shooting techniques. Our experienced staff will teach campers of all ability levels and coordinate friendly competition. This activity is limited to our older campers.
Education
Camp Nazareth's guiding principles of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility surround every camp activity. To enhance these principles of character, additional learning sessions are provided by qualified staff.
